Intro
Sudoku has conquered the world in no time, and it’s here to stay. The puzzle’s attraction is easy rules combined with reasoning that is sometimes quite complex. Sudoku is even recommended as an exercise in logical reasoning.
For a 9x9 grid, a computer can generate about 6,670,903,752,021,072,936,960 different Sudoku puzzles. However, “only” 5,472,730,538 of them are correct Sudokus after taking into account symmetries, rotations, double solutions, and unsolvable elements. This means that only a small portion of computer generated Sudoku puzzles are correct.
To
guarantee the quality of our Sudokus, we have created our own program in .NET C#. It uses three different logical strategies to solve the puzzles: Excluding, Situating and Securing. These three strategies only use logical thinking (no guesses). You can solve any Sudoku, whether it is for beginners or experts, with these three strategies.
